Women are leaders.

Our desire is to encourage women in our community to lead by interacting with members of our community to identify areas that need our help. We encourage our members to learn more about current events in our community and to share their talents.

We meet monthly and have local speakers from various organizations or government agencies share new developments in our community. The presentations cover a vast number of topics during the year.

We have two to three fundraisers a year. These funds are used to support our community service programs, our scholarship programs, and to provide assistance to local, state, and international organizations so that our reach can go further.

Susan Phelps - SWC President

We, as members of GFWC of North Carolina, are connected in numerous ways to our local communities, to other state organizations, and to the world’s greatest women’s volunteer organization, GFWC. These connections as well as those we have through club work - the people, the places, and the work we do - not only align with the GFWC of North Carolina motto: “The Union of All of the Good of All,” but they also inspired the theme for our state administration, From the Mountains to the Sea…we are GFWC-NC!

The Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST) is the 2022-2024 GFWC-NC President’s Special Project. The MST stretches across our state 1,175 miles from the Great Smokey Mountains to Jockey’s Ridge on the Outer Banks.
